Crispy Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese Dates – The best indulgent snack!
If you’re looking for the ultimate crowd-pleaser that’s both indulgent and ridiculously easy to make, these Crispy Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese Dates are your answer. Sweet, salty, creamy, and crispy all in one bite. It’s no wonder they vanish the moment they hit the table.
I always say there are only two reasons I haven’t moved out of the U.S.: movie theater popcorn (the kind where you get to squirt the butter yourself) and American bacon. There’s just something magical about how crispy and flavorful it is—nothing else compares.
Of course, I try to limit my bacon (and movie popcorn) intake. When I do indulge, I make sure it’s worth it. And these bacon-wrapped dates absolutely deliver. They’re rich, satisfying, and just the right size to pop in your mouth without guilt. The tangy goat cheese filling melts beautifully inside the warm, caramelized date, and that crispy bacon wrap? Chef’s kiss.
We made these for a recent get-together with friends. When I pulled the ingredients out, Dakota protested, saying we should just keep them for ourselves. I laughed and said, “These will be gone in two seconds–let’s share!” Sure enough, the tray was cleared out before I could even snap a decent photo. They’re that good.

Crispy Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese Dates
Equipment
- 1 pack of toothpicks
Ingredients
- 8 oz goat cheese
- 2 lbs medjool dates I got the ones that still had the pits in them
- 16 oz bacon strips Use whatever your preference is. I find the thinner the better for the perfect crisp
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Prepare the dates by slicing each one lengthwise down the center. Gently open them up and remove the pits by hand.

- Stuff each date with about 1 to 1½ teaspoons of creamy goat cheese. Don’t overfill—just enough to balance the sweetness of the date with the tangy cheese.

- Cut the bacon strips into thirds. Wrap a piece around each stuffed date and secure it with a toothpick.

- Arrange the bacon-wrapped dates on your prepared tray. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and golden. (15 minutes was just right in my oven, but keep an eye on them—oven times may vary!)
- Transfer the hot dates to a paper towel–lined plate to soak up any extra grease. Let them cool slightly, but be sure to serve them warm for the best flavor and texture.
